The Chalice of the Sun

This ancient drinking vessel is made of gold and includes rubies as an adornment. It has some religious iconography carved into it that dates back to the old gods of Tethyr’s ancient past. It has been in the family of Duke Eltan Falconhand for generations until he recently put it up as a prize in a jousting tournament he hosted at Twin Falls Keep. Sir Bruce of Avalon won the tournament and is now in possession of the chalice. Using the magic granted by Tyr, he detected an enchantment on the vessel. He brought the chalice to Lady Lymera for further study. She found that it had several magical properties.

When one fills the Chalice of the Sun with water by the light of day and drinks, the effects are the same as a potion of healing (2d4+2 HP healed). When one fills the chalice with wine by the light of day and drinks, the effects are the same as a potion of heroism (for 1 hour you gain 10 temp HP and are under the effects of a bless spell – add a d4 to any attack roll or saving throw with no concentration required.) The chalice can only be used once per day.
